Khem's post on AI Fatigue really hits home for me and how I feel about the space right now. It also reminded me of The Hog.
Used some birthday money to buy a telescope that my son and I can use; I'm pumped about it 🪐
Update on my Linux desktop journey: I did some research on X11 vs Wayland and ultimately decided to switch to Wayland. I didn't want to jump on Hyprland since I had already been down that path, so instead I tried out Mango which works great. There's still a few things I want to keep tweaking and adding on to help make a full setup, but I've already decided that I'm not going to be pursuing it as a full time setup anytime soon. The MacOS ecosystem still has me sucked in and for the sake of productivity it's just not the right time. However the encouraging part is that in a worst case scenario and I had nothing but a crappy computer and a laptop, I could keep doing my job with a pretty decent setup.
Had a great evening in the city with the family; got some German food and walked along the river 🌅🍻
